Kids Helping Kids support group
"It's been my experience that while kids may benefit from individual counseling following a divorce, separation or other major changes in the family structure, they often make the quickest and most positive progress in a group setting. It serves to "normalize" the changes in their family and allows them to share their feelings with peers in similar situation. A common factor, especially in the early stages of the process, is a sense of aloneness, guilt, and feeling 'different' from other children. The group setting provides the opportunity for them to learn first hand, from one-another. Children who are further along in the process may benefit from sharing ideas, strategies and a sense of helping others. I look forward to meeting you and your children." - Pam Dennison MSW, LCSW
